Empowered, not ashamed

As someone who travels constantly for work and whose line of work frequently involves happy hours and events where alcohol is present, I wasn't sure how well this would fit into my life. That said, Onir has turned out to be one of the best health decisions I've made all year. Onboarding is seamless and, just as importantly, respectful. No judgment, no unnecessary hoops. A little over a month in and my sleep is deeper, my energy is steadier, and the mental fog I'd quietly gotten used to is gone.

New user. Very pleased

I started my medication about 8 days ago. I feel amazing. Don't really have any urges to drink alcohol. Went to dinner last weekend and ordered a glass of wine. Did not even finish it.

Great experience

Before signing up I did one of their free consultations and ended up talking to one of the co-founders, Quinten. He answered all of my questions without feeling like he was trying to sell me. If you are on the fence, I'd recommend reaching out to their team to chat it through.

Onboard process smooth

With some many products on the market I was skeptical but after some research and completing their onboarding process it was a super easy process and The Dr's were very thorough and professional.

Down from 4-5 beers a night to less than 2 — and it's only been a week

I've tried to cut back on drinking before, but willpower alone never stuck. I started this medication a week ago mostly out of curiosity, not expecting much this fast. Honestly, the difference has surprised me. I went from 4-5 beers a day to less than 2, without white-knuckling it or feeling like I was constantly fighting cravings. It's not that I don't want a drink... it's that after one or two, I just don't feel the pull to keep going the way I used to. It's early still, only one week in, but these are real, measurable results and not just a mindset shift. I'll update this review as I go, but so far I'm genuinely impressed and would recommend giving it a real try if you've struggled to cut back on your own.

Patterns in the reviews

Four things members say over and over

The craving quiets down

The most common review we get is not dramatic. It is that the second drink stopped feeling automatic.

Sleep and mornings improve first

Deeper sleep and clear mornings usually show up before anything else does. Most members notice inside two weeks.

No labels, no meetings

Members repeatedly say the tone is what kept them. No steps to work, no confessions, no group room.

The logistics stay boring

A daily pill, discreet packaging, a clinician who answers. Reviews mention how little the program asks of them.

“Sunday used to start with a mental audit of Saturday. That audit just stopped happening.”

“I tracked it, because that is what I do. Fourteen drinks a week became four without me white-knuckling anything.”

Naltrexone is not right for everyone. If you take opioid based medication, you cannot begin naltrexone until you have stopped. The most common side effect is nausea. Talk with your clinician about whether treatment is right for you.
